Apex Legends is an online multiplayer battle game consisting of squads of three players of pre-made characters called “Legends”. The game is freemium business and is monetized through microtransactions and loot boxes, which allow the player to spend both real money and in-game currency on items such as outfits for the Legends and colors of weapons.

Each match has twenty teams of three-player squads. Players can make their friends join a squad or can randomly play with any player online. Before starting, each player on the squad has to select one character from 25 characters. One character can be selected once only by a squad. Every character in a squad has a unique design, personality, and abilities. Every legend is assigned to one unique class style from five class styles: Assault, Skirmisher, Recon, Controller and Support.

All squads are then placed on an aircraft that passes over the game map. One player in each squad can jump very easily and the squad decides when that player can jump. Once on the ground, the squad can hunt for weapons, armor, and other equipment that are scattered around the buildings.

Apex Legends has a “ping system” in which players can use their game controller to communicate with their squad on  directions, weapons,  locations, enemies, and strategies. The game offers movement options like the shooters. By the time, the game’s safe zone starts reducing in size; players outside the safe zone are not safe and can die if they do not reach the safe zone in time.

The last squad that remains alive is crowned as the “Apex Champions” of the match. Players who are  knocked down in the game can be revived by their squadmates. If a player is killed completely, they can still be revived if any of  their team members collect their respawn banner, which is present at the place where they died. The banner  must be collected within a time limit or else it will eliminate the player.
